Winter Skin Woes

With winter firmly upon us we have seen a lot of clients suffering from the harsh environmental side effects.  Gauteng and in particular, Johannesburg, experiences a harsh lack of moisture in the air at this time of the year.  Alongside this, most of us heat our homes and cars with fires and heaters which further exacerbate the dehydration of our skins.  This leads to a few a very relevant skin conditions for this time of the year, namely: redness, sensitivity, roughness and feeling of dryness or dehydration.
These skin woes can easily be dealt with in clinic and at home by using one of the following treatment modalities:

In clinic, we have the Dermaceutic or Optiphi Facial Peels ranging from R850 - R950 which will remove superficial dead skin, encourage cell turnover and make the skin more receptive to product application.  We also have the Optiphi Hydrating Facial (R950) that hydrates the upper layers of the skin and repairs the skin barrier to prevent further moisture loss.

For home, the Optiphi HA Serum (R1,445) will feed the deeper layers of the skin with hyaluronic acid and encourage longer lasting hydration levels. Any feeling of “winter tightness” disappears when using this product.

Optiphi Hydra Derm HA Masque (R740) can be used as a night cream to give intense nourishment to the skin barrier and soothe an irritated or red surface.

Dermaceutic Dermalift 5.0 Lifting Power Serum (R1,080) contains a unique combination of nutrients including peptides to boost the skins appearance as well as nourish the skin’s appearance.
